Mac Update: follow up to iOS update from Sunday
This notice goes out to you Mac users. The same security bug in iOS 7 that was patched by Apple on Friday, with iOS 7.0.6, STILL EFFECTS THE MAC. I have set most of you up with anti-virus software on your Macs but no protection is more powerful than common sense.
Apple has not put out a patch for this problem on the Mac yet. Until you hear from me again OR you see that your Mac gets a security update, do not use the Safari browser. Chrome and Firefox are fine alternatives for the Mac and perhaps more functional choices than Safari (unless you sync bookmarks and other browser items to your iPhone / iPad). Whether temporary or a permanent switch, please use a browser other than Safari for the time being on your Mac.
