Stop the (mouse) insanity

As a kid growing up in the 1980s and 1990s, I remember watching infomercials with various motivational speakers. I can fondly recall Anthony Robbins and also this woman with bleached spiked white hair, Susan Powter. Do you remember her? I can’t quite remember what her deal was, but her signature line was "stop the insanity." You know — get it together, take control of your life. While Robbins made himself a millionaire many times over for selling hope or false hope depending on how someone looks at it, I don’t hear much about Powter these days. I will borrow her line for this update…..

Stop the mouse insanity!

More and more of my clients are using laptops and I am sick of seeing them struggle with the awful trackpad (mouse pad) built into these systems. They have never gotten great. Apple has the best trackpads. Some of the Windows systems, like 1 or 2 of them have decent trackpads. However, there is a way to take control back of your laptop experience — its called using a mouse. That’s right. You can get a wired mouse or a wireless mouse, but if you use a laptop and even remotely struggle with the trackpad — use a mouse. On all modern laptops — the trackpad can easily be turned off when you have the mouse connected. Stop the insanity. Any of these mice work on windows or Mac. Here are some options….
