I am brainstorming replacements for Apple Photos, Windows Photo Gallery, and Google Picasa.

I should also mention that I have a client who has been using AShampoo Photo Commander for 5 years. It is a robust photo organizer and provides some editing capabilities. Despite their funny name, AShampoo is a German software development firm that has been created useful programs for many years. Photo Commander is Windows only and costs $60.
