A Macs Only special deal: MacBook Air and Pro 13 $200 off at Best Buy

For the Mac users…..

It’s rare that Apple products are discounted at all. Occasionally, you will get an authorized reseller like MacMall, or B&H Photo in NYC, or Mac Connection willing to take $50 to $100 off the price of a new Mac. It’s advertised. This isn’t a deal that is obtained by haggling. When I order Macs for my clients, I often order them through the authorized resellers. Why?
-Price
-Often, no sales tax
– It keeps the authorized re-sellers in business. If you get the same new Mac and the same factory warranty, why not?

I usually don’t make mention of the $50 to $100 off promos because that is everyday fare.

However, this weekend only, Best Buy has the 13 inch MacBook Air, normally $999, for $799. Furthermore, the 13 inch Pro is $1099, down from its normal $1299.

I’m sure Apple doesn’t like Best Buy doing this, but they are Apple’s major national retail partner, so Apple just looks the other way for a weekend. This deal is only going to be for the weekend, so if you are looking for a new Mac or know someone who does — take advantage of it.

In my area, all local Best Buys are sold out of the 13 inch Air, but you can get it the same deal on BestBuy.com shipped to you at no cost. You can also check Best Buy’s site for inventory on the other Macs. As you know I am not a fan of Best Buy for Windows computers, but Macs are Macs. There is no junk class of Macs and a pro grade.
