Dell System Detect is a program on your Dell computer from the manufacturer that detects whether or not you have the most current drivers on your system. Drivers include things like your sound card, video card, internet WiFi adapter, software specific to your motherboard.

It turns out that a recent version of Dell System Detect may have some malware.
