Microsoft fixing security bug in Internet Explorer – Yahoo! News.

This is a follow up to my bulletin from two days ago.

Microsoft is pushing out a patch in their Windows Updates  TOMORROW.

Most of you have automatic updates turned on.   As you should know already, these updates get automatically installed when you turn off your Windows computer.

This update applies to Windows Vista and Windows 7 and to the best of my knowledge, not XP.   I suggest turning off your computer sometime around 5 PM or later.  You can turn it right back on afterward, however you should see a message on the screen to the effect of UPDATES ARE BEING INSTALLED.

Microsoft typically only pushes out security updates one Tuesday a month — known as patch Tuesday.    This problem is serious enough that they are pushing through an automatic update tomorrow.
