Apple Adds Accidental Damage Protection in AppleCare+ for iPhone | News | The Mac Observer.

 

This should be a welcome option for you future iPhone buyers.  The previous Apple Care agreement which only covered “parts and labor” type issues will now include  accidental damage protection for a total cost of $99 over two years.  Accidental damage claims are subject to a $49 “service fee”  (deductible).
